She deserved a reasonable modicum of privacy. However, in the wake of her recent passing, I thought it worth pointing to something very public that she and Ed Doty (her husband after Sparky) did: They established the Na \u2018Aina Kai Botanical Gardens &amp; Sculpture Park on the Hawaiian island of Kaua\u2018i. I have never been to those gardens, but <a href=\"https:\/\/naainakai.org\/\">the website<\/a> makes it clear that there is a lot of beauty to be found there, mixing the forces of nature with human effort.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I tend not to write much about the post-divorce life of Schulz&#8217;s first wife, Joyce.
