Odds are pretty good that if you walk into a comic book store tomorrow, you&#8217;ll be able to walk away with absolutely free comics. The selection and quantity will vary from store to store, but most shops will have at least free\u00a0<em>Avengers<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Power Rangers<\/em>,\u00a0<em>DC Superhero Girls<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Doctor Who<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Disney Princess<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Riverdale<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Transformers<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> comics, among others. And many will have\u00a0<em>Simpsons<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Bob&#8217;s Burgers<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Spider-Man<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Adventure Time<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Tank Girl<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Miraculous<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Nightmare Before Christmas<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Star Wars<\/em>,\u00a0<em>The Tick<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Street Fighter<\/em> comics&#8230; as well as plenty of comics that haven&#8217;t been based on or made transition to movies or TV (yet.)<\/p>\n<p>So go to your local store, get some free comics, take them home and read them&#8230;. and if you like them, go back to the store and buy some further issues!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m interrupting your usual Peanuts-y news for a reminder that the first Saturday in May &#8211; and as I type this, that&#8217;s\u00a0tomorrow &#8211; is Free Comic Book Day.
