For those of you who are going, here are the Peanuts-related panels that are planned:<\/p>\n<p>Thursday brings us\u00a0<strong><span class=\"event ev_1  ev_1_sub_6 ev_1_sub_8 ev_1_sub_7 ev_1_sub_4\">Snoopy for President: Politics in Peanuts\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Explore the world of politics through Charles M. Schulz&#8217;s <em>Peanuts<\/em> comic strip. Hear about Charlie Brown, Linus, and Pigpen&#8217;s humorous and endearing presidential campaigns and Snoopy&#8217;s short-lived term as Head Beagle. Discover why &#8220;happiness is the best policy&#8221; through Hallmark&#8217;s 1968 &#8220;Snoopy for President&#8221; sales campaign and how Schulz utilized his <em>Peanuts<\/em> characters to support numerous presidential initiatives. (Thursday July 21, 2016 3:00pm &#8211; 4:00pm, room 32AB)<\/p>\n<p>Thursday will also have Bob Scott, who has worked on various Peanuts projects, participate in a\u00a0<span class=\"event ev_1  ev_1_sub_5 ev_1_sub_6 ev_1_sub_8\"><strong>Comics and Animation Story Boards<\/strong>\u00a0discussion (Thursday July 21, 2016 2:00pm &#8211; 3:00pm,\u00a0Room 25ABC)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Friday has no Peanuts panels, but Creative Associates creative director Paige Braddock will be on a panel about\u00a0<strong>Queer Representation in All-Ages and Youth Media<\/strong>\u00a0(Friday July 22, 2016 10:00am &#8211; 11:00am,\u00a0Room 4)<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, there&#8217;s a panel called\u00a0<span class=\"event ev_1  ev_1_sub_27 ev_1_sub_8\"><strong>Eisner, Kurtzman, Schulz, and Feiffer: Visualizing A Legacy<\/strong>\u00a0where the designers of four Eisner Award-nominated books discuss designing the books that they got nominated for. This includes Chip Kidd talking about <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?1419716395\"><em>Only What&#8217;s Necessary:<\/em>\u00a0<em>Charles M. Schulz and the Art of Peanuts<\/em><\/a>. Note that the Eisner Awards are actually given out Friday night, so by this time, at least three of the four scheduled speakers will have lost their Eisner!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Sunday, there&#8217;s nothin&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you who have never attended Comic-Con, realize that there are more than two dozen rooms being used to host panels and showings, for most of the time all running simultaneously. There&#8217;s a lot going on, and it&#8217;s impossible not to miss most of it, it&#8217;s hard not to miss most of the things that you want to see.
