Completely foreign to me!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the wake of <a href=\"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/?p=243\">last night&#8217;s post  about foreign language edition of  <em>The Complete  Peanuts<\/em><\/a>, I got a reader inquiry about &#8220;hey, is it going to be available in thus-and-such a language?&#8221; (Hi, Dan!) And so, to head off getting that inquiry one at a time for every possible language, I thought I&#8217;d ask my inside man at the Fantagraphics skunk works (yes, that&#8217;s a Li&#8217;l Abner reference rather than Peanuts; I have a broad array of knowledge!) and find out the truth. He noted these foreign publishers had picked up rights:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carlsen Verlag in Germany<\/li>\n<li>Dargaud in France<\/li>\n<li>Panini in Italy<\/li>\n<li>Edicoes Afrontamento in Portugal<\/li>\n<li>Editorial Planeta De Agostini in Spain<\/li>\n<li>Yuan Liou in Hong Kong &#038; Taiwan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He also made mention of a Korean edition, but did not note the publisher.<\/p>\n<p>So if you want to collect them in every language, you better start clearing some room on your credit card!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the wake of last night&#8217;s post about foreign language edition of The Complete Peanuts, I got a reader inquiry about &#8220;hey, is it going to be available in thus-and-such a language?&#8221; (Hi, Dan!)
