Well, my alarm bells went off today when I found\u00a0<a title=\"The Schulz bowling book is available\" href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?0062272144\">this listing for <strong>A Charlie<\/strong><strong> Brown Christmas<\/strong> by Charles Schulz<\/a>, coming this October.<\/p>\n<p>But then I looked closer at the publisher (It Books, an imprint of HarperCollins), the page count (192), the size (9&#8243;x9&#8243; &#8211; that&#8217;s square, for those of you who are really bad at math), and then I recognize what this was. If this isn&#8217;t a rerelease of <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?0060198516\"><em>A Charlie Brown Christmas: The Making of a Tradition<\/em><\/a> by Lee Mendelson, I&#8217;ll eat&#8230; well, not my hat. I like my hat. But I&#8217;ll glady eat a couple donuts. Yes, I know that&#8217;s missing the point, but&#8230; donuts!<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, if you really need a new edition of <em>A Charlie Brown Christmas<\/em>, and have a loose definition of &#8220;new&#8221;, <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?1614790299\">library-bound copies<\/a> of a recent adaptation are now shipping.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As regular readers know, one of my biggest joys is keeping an eye out for new book adaptations of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
