What it is is pure, book-original Schulz, with his reflections on Christmas and what it is. And lest you think that a Christmas giftbook is apt to be pure saccharine, we should note that Schulz covers the good and the bad; yes, &#8220;Christmas is ta box of tree ornaments that have become part of the family&#8221;, but then &#8220;Christmas is when you realize how little you can buy with fifty cents.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This book was a Christmas Charlie Brown item before &#8220;A Charlie Brown Christmas&#8221;, part of the line of books that started with <em>Happiness is a Warm Puppy<\/em>. It was returned to print a few years back <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?1933662379\">in its original format<\/a>, but the edition I&#8217;m highlighting is <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?1604332980\">the new large edition<\/a>, as it works fine in this bigger size, and becomes more something you can leave on the coffee table for flipping through.
