Schulz himself. Well, it seems as if Sparky is at it again&#8230; at least if this link that eagle-eyed AAUGH Blog reader Scott sent to me is to be believed. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alibris.com\/booksearch.detail?invid=11294215419&amp;qwork=-44901559&amp;qsort=&amp;page=1\">Alibris lists <em>The Soup Sisters Cookbook<\/em> as written by Schulz, Charles M.<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.alibris.com\/booksearch.detail?invid=11294215419&amp;qwork=-44901559&amp;qsort=&amp;page=1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2039 aligncenter\" title=\"soup\" src=\"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/soup.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/soup.jpg 563w, https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/soup-300x91.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 563px) 100vw, 563px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is obviously just a bit of mistaken data entry made by a used bookstore or some data propagation error\u00a0 (neither the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.randomhouse.com\/book\/220057\/the-soup-sisters-cookbook-\">publisher&#8217;s listing<\/a> nor the <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?0449015599\">Amazon listing<\/a> for the book has any mention of Schulz.) But it did have me looking a little more into the barbecue book, and finding that the situation is both more convoluted and more understandable than I found at the time. The title that was generated (<em>Celebrating America: The Ultimate Guide to America\u2019s 4 Regional Styles of &#8216;Cue<\/em> is a combination of two books &#8211; the previously identified Dotty Griffith\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?074321210X\"><em>Celebrating Barbecue: The Ultimate Guide to America\u2019s 4 Regional Styles of \u2018Cue<\/em><\/a>, and a book I didn&#8217;t notice: <em>Celebrating America<\/em>, a cookbook by <em>Phillip Stephen<\/em> Schulz. The Amazon listing for <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?0671701894\">used copies of that later book<\/a> now includes both the muddled name and the credit for the wrong Schulz.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing like modern information technology when it comes to building error on error!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About a year-and-a-half ago, I was discussing the rather unlikely book listing for a then-upcoming book on barbecue, supposedly written by the late great Charles M.
