It&#8217;s a slightly-oddly-c0lored (washed-out looking) series of 5 two-page images describing what Snoopy does with his Beagle Scout troop on an overnight hike.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s nothing particularly amusing about any of it, which seems a missed opportunity, but the humor in the Beagle Scout strips are largely over Snoopy responding to what someone has said&#8230; and this book is purely narration. Yes, yes, &#8220;distracting&#8221; is probably the main goal of these books, rather than &#8220;amusing&#8221;, but it wouldn&#8217;t hurt.\u00a0 It would give the adult reading the story to the child some aspect to enjoy. Instead, we have to put our focus on looking for little curious details, like in the final spread:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Wendys7int.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1664\" title=\"Wendys7int\" src=\"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Wendys7int-300x152.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"152\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Wendys7int-300x152.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/Wendys7int.jpg 780w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While Snoopy and the rest of the troop are sleeping, unnamed bird in the red sleeping bag lies there with his eyes open.
