\n2004: GONNA BE A GOOD YEAR<\/p>\n
Well, for most of us 2003 is winding down. (I say “most of us”
\nbecause we actually do have some readers out where it’s
\n5764) and, like it or not, 2004 will soon be upon us. Peanuts
\nreaders should like it a lot, because this is shaping up to
\nbe the best year ever for Schulz book fans. We’ve got the
\nfirst two volumes of The Complete Peanuts coming up,
\nincluding many out-of-print (and often never-in-print-in-book-form)
\nstrips. Then there’s Li’l Beginnings, collecting Li’l Folks and
\nother pre-Peanuts Schulz work… yes, this was announced for late
\n2003, but they’ve been more worried about making it good than
\nabout making it on time, so it’s been pushed back to early
\naught-four.<\/p>\n
And there are hints – nothing definite, but hints – of one or
\ntwo other projects that will make this year all the better for
\nthe Schulz book fan. Nothing as important as The Complete
\nPeanuts, mind you, but some nice little surprises that will
\nmake the year that much better. When there’s genuine news
\nto share, I’ll share it, of course.

\nEVERHART IS AVAILABLE<\/p>\n
As promised, the Charles M. Schulz Museum And Research
\nCenter has produced a catalog of their exhibition of Tom
\nEverhart paintings. That’s the good news. The bad news
\nis that it ain’t cheap – $30 for a “47 page” paperback,
\neven in full color, is a bit pricy, but then you have to
\nrealize that it’s a book with limited distribution. It’s
\na lot better than tracking down the ultra-rare Suntory
\nMuseum catalog of their Everhart exhibit. I don’t yet
\nhave a copy to review, but I’ll be ordering one shortly.<\/p>\n
As with earlier publications of the museum, this book is
\nnot available through AAUGH.com. It’s only available at
\nthe museum, or by mail order for them. To see the cover

\nNo new reviews this time. The mail has not been bringing
\nme lots of Peanuts books lately. The holidays brought me
\nmostly DVDs this year, adding 17 disks to my DVD shelf.
\nNow if only I have time to watch ’em…<\/p>\n
I apologize for the blocky disclaimer at the start of
\nthis message, but we’ve got an odd situation. We had
\na bunch of new subscribers join up -just after- the
\nnew anti-spam laws were passed. I have to suspect that
\nsome of these are people who are signing up for every
\nnewsletter everywhere, looking for the opportunity to
\nsue folks under certain details of the law. As such,
\nyou’re apt to see such prominently-placed removal
