I get emails from time to time which boil down to “can you tell your readers about my eBay auction of Peanuts stuff”, and it is my policy to ignore them. I’m making an exception in this case for a very specific reason. When I posted a couple years ago about a Golf Journal cover with Peanuts characters and Dennis the Menace characters interacting, I got some responses wishing that I had posted a better scan. There were several reasons I didn’t… including that I try hard to keep my use of other people’s copyrighted material within a reading of “fair use” under US law, and will generally show things to illustrate the aspect of them that I am talking about, but don’t create originally high-res scans of things just to share the scan. However, apparently there was a print done of the art for this particular cover, and I was contacted by Lisa, who had read the blog entry and has copies of this print for sale on eBay. As such, I am pointing to that listing, where you can see the cover image (minus logo)… and buy one, if you wish.
