Snoopy statues invade overseas

For those of you who are missing the days when creative Peanuts statues flooded first St. Paul and then Santa Rosa, it may be time to cash in your frequent flier miles on a trip to Portugal. Friday was the beginning of the Lisbon Snoopy Parade, with 20 statues going on display until August 15th. The statues will be auctioned in October, with the money going to UNICEF. (And ye olde AAUGH Blogger is wondering how to get a copy of the auction catalog…)

Some of the photo sources I’m finding are clearly reusing photos from earlier Snoopy events, but here is a photo series showing the development of one of the new statues; I will see if I can find a good source for more.
