10 years ago today…

…the goodbye strip, the last of the daily Peanuts run (Sundays would continue for a few weeks) appears.

In some ways, that feels like yesterday. But then, the strip has never gone away. With all of the readers of the strip, only a small portion ahve read every strip, so among the existing fans, there are still discoveries to be made, as well as favorites to revisit. And when my five year old daughter asks her mother to read the Peanuts strips in the Sunday paper, I know that new readers will be discovering the strip for a long time to come. Schulz is gone; Peanuts is here for the long run.
